As the question asks, should the reverse end of HST pedal contact the stopper bolt? Just realized that mine has about 1.5 inch gap when it stops. Going by dealer tomorrow for another issue and will double check but wanted to see if I could get some quick answers for reference. Thanks.

Mine does. I assumed that was what it was for, to prevent the internal mechanism from bottoming out.

The workshop manual will have the proper adjustment procedure.

The HST neutral position is set first.
Then make sure you have the proper stopper bolt heights set.

Here's an example of the L3901 pedal adjustment, there's no clearance spec (A) for the reverse stopper bolt, only the forward bolt, so I would think it's zero.

Stopped by dealer this morning and talked to service manager about that and needing brake pedals/operation adjusted. Braking not consistent between right & left. Tech had done one adjustment but needs checked again. He will send a tech up to look at it.
