Don't you need a PTO shaft with a hole to use that extension? I don't think the PTO on my L2501 has one.
What are you attaching it to? Will it work on the implement side?

A PTO over run adapter will also extend your drive line slightly and prevent a mowing deck from driving the tractor forward.

I think this will work. Thanks
Not sure about your L2501 but this will not work on aBX2380 because the PTO shaft is too short. I bought one and it will not engage the locking balls before it hits the back of the tractor. The one from Tractor Supply might fit but as you say there is no hole in the PTO. I too am still looking for a solution.

What do you use for your PTO extension? Thanks
I do not recommend PTO extensions due to added cantilevered forces applied to the tractor PTO shaft and potential unbalance issues. The proper solution is a longer PTO driveline.

Better yet, ditch the quick hitch.
