The 3 pt. hitch arms on my L3901 are so short that I cannot get hooked up to my old Ferguson disks and plows. My new brush hog hooks up fine but the older equipment isn't even close. I just tried a quick hitch that doesn't help.

Are there longer aftermarket arms that you can buy?

I bought the ball ends and made my own. If you choose to go that route, keep in mind you lose lifting capacity exponentially as you increase length.

Building hindsight,go oversize compared to oe arms,i should have gone to 5/8"instead of using 1/2x2" perhaps 5/8x2-1/2". Mine bent with little effort.

Before you try to lengthen the arms, determine why the implements aren't fitting. Are they cat 2, and you are trying to put them on a cat 1 3 point? Instead of changing the arms, can you change the implement frame?

Another way to extend the arms is with Pat's Quick Hitch ... puts the implement back an additional 4-6"

Will a shorter top link help?

My equip is OLD Ferguson adjustable disks and Ford plows. I can get the disks hooked up but can't lift them much because they hit the back of the tractor. The pins on the plows sit so far back that the arms barely reach and the plows sit to far forward to allow the arms to come in.

I was wondering how much more length the Pat's quick hitch gets you? 4-5 in. would be a big help.

I got the lower arms from TSC for my L175. Wow are they long. Turns out their made for 9n machines. Way longer than OEM Kubota.

As far as length goes the Quick Hitch and Pats are about the same.

That's oddly enough not too much of a surprise. My dealer told me when I was looking at tractors that the L series was made to fill the void created by the old 8 & 9 series Fords.
