I have a QC, and it is a delight.

Pin on would be no QC. All attachment points would be pins. Man that sucks!

If your L48 is like mine, it is the QC that has allows you to mount and engage the bucket with the curl, then you put in 1 pin to keep it all in place. That is Kubota’s version of a QC backhoe mounting system. They do make a hydraulic QC which will make the system fully hydraulic (The last pin is also hydraulic).

We have the same QC hoe bucket!
As you suggest, it curls to attach, but does require a dismount to place the final pin.
I love it, but........

My loader bucket is SO much sweeter.
It hydraulically locks/unlocks (3rd function diverter) the bucket locking levers, never requiring a dismount.
I am an old guy (now with a broken rib), so no dismount is going to be extra sweet this Spring.
