Hi everyone. I've had an RW30 for about a year - it's rough round the edges but works reasonably well. Until - I've returned from holiday and find that I have no clutch. I needed to move the machine so started it in gear and it worked ok but still no clutch! I've investigated the clutch pedal and linkage which seems quite an odd setup and certainly nothing I've seen before. The pedal operates a rod that bears on a very heavy duty lever that pulls another rod that operates a pair of linked plates that appear to operate an hydraulic valve! There was a lot of free play and various points of adjustment - I've taken out some of the free play and the hydraulic poppet valve seems to be working (it only goes into the valve body on the clutch cover by less than 10mm.
Has anyone got any ideas what problem I have and /or suggestions for a fix?

Assuming you meant the clutch won't disengage . . ., and
assuming it has a conventional type clutch (these machines aren't very common around here) . . .
The disk is probably rust-stuck to the plate or flywheel. 1. Figure out a way to hold the clutch pedal down (disengaged), 2. With the transmission in high gear, push against a large tree or other immovable object. Be prepared to shut the machine off in case things start to get out of hand.

Most newer machines have a hook of some sort to hold the clutch pedal down to remove the pressure from the clutch, to prevent your issue.
