My roller is stored outside, parked on some 1 1/2"x8"x16" concrete blocks. Last time the neighbor borrowed it, he had a hard time getting it parked on the blocks. (they kept moving because he kept going too fast) In addition, the blocks tend to stay wet under the roller, causing some rust. Being that it is ancient, the last thing it needs is more rust, so I made new arrangements.
I made new "parking pads" out of plastic 2"x6" boards, cutting a 30 degree approach angle, and used the scraps to put cleats on the underside so they won't slide. I turned the boards upside down to minimize the contact area with the roller. They seem to work great so far.
