Hydrolic GPM.JPG

I have a L2501 and I am looking at purchasing a 3rd function package from Summit Hydraulics to run a auger on my loader.

Above are the specs from the brochure showing Hydraulic flow and I have a few questions.

1. What is (Main) vs (PS)?
2. What is e/min?

The area I live is very rocky so I need a rock auger. Speaking with the dealer they say my tractor doesn't have enough flow to run a rock bit. But speaking with a local utility dealer where I am looking at purchasing the auger he says he has a auger attachment that will run with hydraulic flow between 10 gpm and 30 gpm. Has anyone installed a rock auger on a 2501 and did it work?

You have a main pump that produces 5.15 GPM which is also 19.5 liters per minute.

You have a power steering pump that produces 3.13 GPM which is also 11.8 liters per minute.

The GPM is short hand for gallons per minute (common US measure of flow rate).
The other is a script lower case L that stands for liters so that L/min means liters per minute (liters/minute). A common flow rate measurement every where but the US.
