The FTC has released a report stating that companies are violating consumer's rights. Lehto has a video about it.

It is a promising step in the right direction, but still more has to be done and only time will tell if the FTC follow throughs with their own report.

So many manufactures do things to prevent “backyarders” it’s frustrating. Something so simple as adding a brake controller to a truck can cost over $100 for the dealer to plug in and update the computer to tell it you now have a brake controller. Friend of mine got it done after doing a factory instal on the components. Said it took them 15 min that included getting the truck from the parking lot and returning it back to the lot.
