My air ride seat quit today and I need to get behind the rubber grommet to check the wires. Is there any secret on how to get the rubber out of the way without tearing it up?

Run your hand around the rubber bellows cover. There are some little plastic rivet clips that hold it to the frame. Pop them loose and you can get in there.

A swing and a huge miss.
Should have said "rather be in the house surfing facebook"

Are you talking about the rubber skirt on the seat base or the rubber grommet protecting the wires going through a metal pan?

If the grommet rubber is still playable a little dish soap and careful use of a flat screw driver will get it out easily. Use palmolive, it keeps your hands nice and soft.

My air ride seat's rubber skirting lifts up easily, no need for pry bars or snips.

It is the rubber protector that goes around the entire bottom of the seat. I guess it is to keep dust and debris from getting under the seat.

my air pump went out( or a wire got cut) and I need to get under there and see what I am dealing with.
