I got a L2800 and it handles a 5 foot cutter fine. It's not the most comfortable. I'm keeping it and looking at adding another tractor. I got 630 acres but its mostly hardwoods but I got tons of roads and a few fields to maintain. I also got a dozer. With these things in mind, recommend a tractor. I'm thinking a L4760 maybe or L4060.
Edited to add: or L6060 or even a M6060, maybe a cab model, where do you stop?

I have a L4060 open station with 6 foot cutter. it does okay in most conditions, thick and tall it gets bogged down. if looking for a long term especially for something like mowing, I would recommend at least the 4760 cab. however....with prices the way they are, if even thinking about a 4760, go 6060. never hurts to have more power. at that point a 6060 should be able to handle a 8 foot cutter pretty well. (minimum of 40pto hp,) but I'd want 50+ pto hp, 6060 has 53 pto hp. the 6060 would run a 6 foot hog like it wasn't even there in 99% of cutting conditions.

I have an MX5800 and it handles my 6 foot cutter in fairly tough stuff with ease. When buying I also looked at the L6060 and really liked it. Price difference was deciding factor. Really happy with my MX. As i recall, cab was not an option on the MX series.
