Hello again my fellow Kubota enthusiasts - Mr. K here to provide some insight on recent site outages and for some of you, explain the withdrawal symptoms you are currently experiencing.
Yesterday around 8am PST the site went down under heavy load and remained unstable thereafter for the better part of the following 36 hours. We did not have everything sorted out until around 3pm PST today. OTT is back up and running now but the server is certainly under strain.
To give some perspective, the site's traffic and audience has been doubling every year since we started in September of 2008. Today, one day of traffic is more than the first couple of months combined traffic when we first came online.
Despite the recent inconveniences this is actually a good problem to have. It means that we are growing and we have a strong and thriving community.
I am looking at options for expanding into bigger server-space. In the meantime, hang in there! Appreciate your patience and for helping make OTT the best Kubota forum on the 'net!
