I recently bought a used implement that came with a PTO shaft. One of the u-joints on the PTO shaft is shot. Anybody know the best way to find a u-joint of the right size? Is this a universal thing where I can buy a u-joint based on the key dimensions, or do I have to go through the shaft manufacturer?

Good advice above. The only thing that I can add is that you shouldn't buy the least expensive universal joint (aka cross-bearing), because many of the lesser quality units come from offshore 3 world nations, that are constructed of inferior materials. I would look for a Made in USA bearing by Spicer.

If you are not proficient at u joint work it might be cost effective to have the parts store install it for you. Most places it doesn’t cost much.

Depending on what I’m changing a u-joint in, I either use a hydraulic press or a ball joint kit. I have a Snap-on ball joint kit and it easily handles a remove/replace. If it is a really tough one, I move to the hydraulic press. Either way, I give the cups a good dose of Deep Creep to help get them out. Hope the Moog site works for you. Their catalog has pretty good instructions on how to find what you need. Moog make good joints. So does Spicer and I’ve had good service out of SKF as well. Finally, theujointstore.com is a good source for hard to find stuff.

Upon closer inspection, the yoke is bent. I'm just going to spring for a new PTO shaft rather than try to repair this one.

Take it to a driveline shop, and they can weld a new yoke onto your old shaft, and balance it also. A lot less than buying a new shaft.
