We got 11 inches yesterday and I had my L4240 hstc in auto throttle, load sense and noticed I had to use L range switching from Turtle to Rabbit with my hills. I used M auto throttle, auto hst & load sense last year but found on my big hill running upwards when it downshifted it would almost come to a stop with a slight slip. Maybe I need to increase hst response time?

I also have 2 other questions with snowblower operation.
for the record I engage and disengage PTO at idle speed.
When backing up, should I disengage the PTO?
when lifting the snowblower should I disengage the PTO? (I thought I read you should because driveshaft angle but can’t find it and checked both manuals)
I always have and just watched a video where someone didn’t disengage when backing up or raising.
thanks

yup engage at idle and rev up to desired speed. I never disengage while backing up . What I do is only raise the blower up a 1" or so but on occasion I'll lift it all the way up . With it fully raised it does make a bit of noise but it doesn't exceed the driveline angle.
