Paint Colors that are "close enough"?

Is there a Rustoleum or other decent metal paint that kinda sorta matches Kubota Orange and/or Kubota Grey? My Runnings has green and red paints with a picture of a tractor on the can that pretty much matches those (but takes care to not say Deere or IH, so it costs the same as the other paint).

I scored a rusty metal tool box that will fit between my seat and rops and thought I might try to make it close.

Depends on the year and shade. Rustoleum Kubota Orange is a dead match for Orange II. Magic Kubota Orange is a match for Orange I.

Far as the grey goes, I use Kubota ROPS grey from my dealer, it covers well so I don't use that much anyway.

They all come in pints and quarts as well so you can use your own equipment to spray them.

Orange II? Orange I? Which do I have on a 2012?

Folks around here must still be old-school. I see the JD and IH flavors, but not Kubota Orange.

Thanks,

Most likely Orange II. You can get both online (Magic and Rustoleum).

Yep - you have Orange II.

I've had good luck with Majic Kubota Orange from Tractor Supply. Very close match and glossy.

Think I used Rustoleum KO to do snowblower housing in spring.

I've used Chevy Engine Red, it's pretty close too.

I remember someone mentioned "lobster Red" a while back - recall that was a darned good match also.

I’ve used the Rustoleum Kubota orange and Vansickle Kubota Orange 2. The Vansickle looks closer to me but my tractor is a 2007 and it’s slightly faded so nothing is gonna be an exact match. Rustoleum Charcoal Gray is very close to the Kubota gray on my ROPS. My forks are Vansickle orange (gun sprayed with hardener) and the canopy brackets are Rustoleum Gray. I’m fairly certain the wheel weights are Vansickle rattle can painted.

I should have added a picture of Majic. It dried very slow, but was happy with the finish. (As an aside, those are my redneck snowblower shoe modifications)

Glad to see bxhoosier’s success with the gray....I have a couple spots to touch up.

One not so nice trait of Kubota is, they all fade over time. My older M9's are a nice Mary Kay pink now.

I'll have to check out the charcoal for the ROPS grey.
