I just had a brand new X1100C delivered last week. Dealer said they QC’d and checked all fluids before they delivered it. Have about 4 hours on it so far. Pulled it in garage tonight after using it over the weekend. Noticed there was oil on the floor. Raised the bed to inspect. Saw oil was dripping out the rubber transmission breather tube. Checked the oil while warm but had sat for a while. Oil appeared to be about 1/4” over full mark on dip stick. Who knows how much was lost out the breather. I adjusted the oil level with warm oil. Drove again and got to operating temp. Checked and oil was still slobbering out of breather Wondering if anyone has seen/heard of this happening on their machines and what the fix was. Thanks for the info in advance!

yeah i've run into it

with the engine and transmission cold you have to remove enough oil so that both dip sticks read half between low and hi marks. Remember there is a tank under the seat. Half of assembly techs don't even know it's there but keep in mind most of those guys are low wage employees that have limited access to literature needed to do their job. There are some good ones just not enough of them and they are way underpaid

once you have both reservoirs within acceptable level you will have to remove the vent from the case and then clean it out. Once it gets oil in it, it will continue to dump a little out until it's completely dry--perfectly normal. Remove/clean it.

That was my fix....aint seen it back in over a year so either he's just dealing with it or it's fixed.

Something similar happened to me; 1 day old back in the dealer under warranty. I will try to let all of you know what they said.

Sorry to hear your having the same issue. Please let me know what they find out. I’m curious too see their reasoning. I adjusted my oil level like Lugbolt suggested and haven’t had an issue since.
