I am a new owner of an L3650 and waiting on the manuals from the previous owner. I am trying to figure out the valve under the seat that reads OPEN — CLOSE. Any other tips appreciated.

Get the Kubota App for your phone. When it opens register your name etc then add your equipment. All the operators manuals are there.

Given the location....most likely the valve adjustment for the speed of lowering your 3 point arms. Unless its a an actual OPEN/ClOSE valve that has only two positions.

A picture would be great.

Obviously, this isn’t the same model but the control and placement is pretty common. If it looks like this and is a twist off/on like a water hose faucet, it’s probably the thing that adjusts how fast the 3 point lowers.

Thanks all. I had a feeling that is what it was after getting responses. My older tractors did not have it. Found a great response on YouTube. I was used to draft control or selective draft / implement control. This makes adjusting to implement control only a little easier.

If you have a heavy implement on and the valve isn't fully closed, it will eventually fall to the ground because the 3-point hitch usually will leak past the seals when there is a heavy implement on the 3-point. I suggest closing it off unless you want it to come to rest on the ground. I have a weight box on my tractor for snow blowing, and it will settle to the ground unless the valve is fully closed.
