It's a AMF4211. I didn't think I had enough tractor for the 14'. I cut about 28 acres with it. I save a lot of time and fuel. My 6' finishing mower would take all day and part of another.

The blades are easy to sharpen, but 6 are left handed. You are stuck buying blades from the dealer. The 3 right are available from other places.
Good to know. I missed out on one last month. I'm not in a panic for one but am going to move in that direction if the right one comes along.

The fact that the outer mower decks fold up for transport makes sharpening a lot easier right.

I have a Land Pride RC3712 folding cutter and I swear that sharpening the six blades on that beast is a lot easier than sharpening the two on the RCR1884. I can use the hydraulics to raise the center deck to gain easy access to the two blades in the middle, and with the outer decks folded up it couldn't be any easier to service those blades.
I pull mine off to sharpen, but having the decks folded up , makes the job so easy. I have a few sets of blades and simply swap the dull blade with a sharp one. I can sharpen old blade at my leisure.

@S-G-R that's an interesting top link connection, I noticed mine popped up out of the top QH hook and folded back twice when mowing the other day ... I figured it really only needs to be in the hook if I want to raise the whole mower ... But thought I might put some kind of restraint to hold it in ...

I don't remember if the two flat plates came with the mower or with the quick hitch.

I adjusted the gauge wheels down 1/4", then went out to mow, I like how it's cutting better now ... It's about 5" tall, was 12" - "15" or so before I started today ...

It's a "big lawn"!

Cooling off tonight and tomorrow, was in the 60's today, but calling for 20° by Monday, so this is the last mow of the season ... I still gotta mow the other side of the creek, but ran out of daylight ...

You might need a bigger mower than that! 😂 Really nice set up though and good to see you enjoying your "new" tractor.

Is that Danny Herman trucking? Looks like a company that understands the purpose of life! The support and projects are amazing.

Takes about 4.5-5 hours to mow my 14 acres that I mow with this, the 1.5 around the house, I like shorter to make it easier for my cats to spot mice and snakes! That's only the front "half" shown ...

Yes it is, been driving for them for almost 12 years now, originally looked for a property up in Johnson County, TN, but eventually moved here, they have a terminal nearby ...

I got out back across the creek today to finish mowing ... "Found" the 1st rock since I lowered the deck ... It scuffed or dragged out a pretty big rock, about 8"!

IMG_20251116_102435193.jpg

I think the front lip of the deck snagged it, and started to roll it up and out, then it was all over ... Was actually not a bad hit comp to some I shattered with the brush hog! You can see a bit of orange paint in the purple circle, looks like only 2 mild hits with the blades circled in red ... It's now out of the way!

Over all a good day to mow, mid 60's and sunny ... Done for the season! 😁

IMG_20251116_113436832.jpg

This use to be just one big pasture, the owner I bought from got it from his par that lived to the south, the guy that bought that a few months before me just runs cattle on it, it looks like this on his side of the fence! I've picked up lots of rocks on my side, shattered a few too!

How much water runs in the creek?
This summer it went dry!

IMG_20250905_120459317.jpg

So ... I "cleaned it out"! 😁

IMG_20250905_123223256.jpg

Busted up some of the sandstone!

IMG_20250906_100531644~2.jpg

Widened it up a bit ...

Then we got a little rain, and it filled up! It's only about 16" deep here. 🤠

IMG_20251104_093254943.jpg

I'm hoping the grass will grow in where the pump is sitting in the "creek crossing" before the spring heavy rains, and hopefully hold it in place, it was a natural "high spot" that I widened and cut the banks back so I could cross ... As my little tires couldn't climb the other side! One other summer it dried up too!

IMG_20220709_160537238.jpg

I've ordered a pair of 4,000 Lb rated 3 point forks for my L5030, as I can only put about 50 gallons in the above front tote, and the little trailer gets really wobbly over 125 gallons for watering my trees ...

Creek looked like this when I "discovered it", the day after I bought it almost four years ago, I didn't even know it was there!

Looked like this yesterday ...

I had a big wash out (creek) going through my field, and to hay the area I had to make a loop around to get to both sides. I took my little dozer and pushed in both sides and smoothed it out, then seeded it with brome seed. The rains that caused the wash out now stay on top of the ground and goes toward the pond.
