My neighbor has a spotless MX5100F used only for mowing. He is frustrated with a hood problem. When he unlatches and lifts the hood, it always disengages from the "hinge bar". Then he needs a second person to help close the hood properly. To me, it seems that the gas struts that hold the hood up when open are too fast in raising the hood causing it to pop off. Has anyone experienced this, or even better--can suggest a solution?
