Missing 3rd and 4th, 7th and 8th gears

hi, i have a M7040HD-1 4wd tractor. When in low range the tractor will not shift into 3rd or 4th gear, also, it will not shift into 7th or 8th gear when in high range. any possible reasons? cables appear to be hooked up.
the hydraulic shuttle for forward/reverse works perfectly. the tractor and hydraulics works perfectly.

hmmm. sounds like shift fork(s) is screwed, or a Gate is frozen.

Guessing you do know that 3rd & 4th and 7th & 8th are the same physical gears, just active with different gears when in low and high.

I would suggest you get the WSM for the tractor, it will shed some like on it.
There will be a trouble shooting guide in it to follow.
