Hey, I'm a newbie here. I couldn't find anything on this so here goes.
I have a 1999 m9000 FWD with no cab and I live in northern Alberta, so it can become quite unpleasant in -60C.
I'd love to put a cab on it and the only m9000 cabs I can find are on the other side of the continent.
I found a 1999 m8580 with a cab at a salvage yard near me. I'm trying to determine compatability. Does anyone know if it would fit? If not, what are the key measurements I would need to take to figure that out?
I was on tractordata.com and see the 8580 has a longer wheelbase and overall length and width. I'm pretty handy and can weld, wire and plumb good enough for a farmer so if it's pretty close, I can do mods.
Any advice would be awesome, thanks!!!!

I think there are too many variables for any of us to give you a good answer.
You will have to compare and judge if the effort and time is worth it.

Torch, sledgehammer and welder can make anything fit. You may have to take something that is close enough and modify it to suit your tractor in order to get the cab you want. It might be easier than building a complete cab from scratch.

Ya, definitely agree about the too many variables thing, but my thoughts are definitely along the lines of BAP about getting it close enough and "making it fit" rather than fabricating my own.
Thanks so much guys
