For anyone that has either installed a block heater themselves OR had a block heater installed on their lx3310.....

Do you know if you had to reprogram the tractor's computer in order to initiate cold start or was the Kubota blockheater a plug in play that required no additional programming for the ECU?

Block heaters don't affect the starting sequence. They simply heat your oil/engine to make lubrication work better on really cold starts.

Need to program your memory to unplug the block heater before moving the tractor. Easily forgotten, unless you have an excellent memory. I drape the electrical wire across the hood of the tractor so I don't forget.

The LX3310 MUST be configured for the use of a block heater. The coolant temp sensor is used to control the glow plugs so if a block heater is used the glow plugs think the engine is too warm for them to be turned on. The system needs to be reconfigured so the glow plugs control is using the ambient air temp sensor rather than the coolant temp sensor as a reference.
