I have a LX2610 coming with the RCK60-30bb mower deck, wondering if there is any interference between the step on tractor and the deck? One salesman said it had to be removed.

You might have to put a different one on. The brochure shows a step on a tractor with a mower, but its different a different color. The manual does not say anywhere to remove step.

Mine came with a grey cab mounted step. The mower doesn't come close to touching it.

I have the standard step on mine with no issues but I am also using the extended stops intended for the turf tires.

If I remeber correctly, turf tires are taller and the step can stay on, R4 tires are shorter and could be a problem with the step.

I didnt think the size of tires would make a differance, thought lifting mower up would cause the interference with the step

I could be wrong, but I think the issue was with the width of the turf tires and not the height. The extended stops prevented the gauge wheels on the deck from contacting the rear tires when the deck was fully raised. If you have an issue with the deck contacting the steps when fully raised, the extended stops should work for you. They do make it a pain in the a$$ to pin up the deck if you need to though.
