Looking at ordering a LX2610, Questions on Options

Hello everyone, went from a B2601 to a Yanmar SA324 (just because found a good deal when tractor-less) and now I'm looking at stepping up to the tractor I've always wanted, the LX2610. Got a quote from local dealer today with the larger R14 tires loaded and the loader+ 54" bucket and it came out to $20,854 out the door after tax, does this seem reasonable? I think 54" will barely cover tracks so I was leaning toward asking to go with the wider bucket 60" option, wonder if that will drive the price up. Lastly anyone have extensive experience with R14's on lawn? I will be using this 50/50 on lawn and in woods so was hoping R14 was a good option for that. I currently have 4 acres of mostly woods and process a decent amount of wood for our wood stove, also we are looking at buying a property in northern Michigan at some point in the next few years so thinking this size tractor will fit the bill for covering our house and potential future land up north.

I use my L3901 for home, woods work and snow blowing. I run turf tires, including loaded rear tires. The turfs work out great in all tasks for me. I was concerned about turfs in woodland but they have been tough enough. Turf are also quite a bit cheaper than R14 options. Turf do great in winter for use while snow blowing. I use these in South and North Michigan.

I recently got a LX2610SU with loaded R14s. When the ground is sloppy it definitely leaves tracks, but they have mostly gone away as it has dried out some. On dry-ish it has folded the grass over but the tracks basically disappear by the next day or so. Keep in mind, my lawn is like some people’s pastures. I don’t manicure it or cut the grass short. But also the soil here is high in clay content and just walking on it wet seems to leave footprints.

If you have a putting green lawn, you might be disappointed with the R14s.

So on LX2610 they offer R14, "Large R14", turf and R4... does anyone know if on LX2610SU if there is a "large R4 or large turf" option thats bigger than the standard 2610 turf? I wont go mid mount mower ever so liking idea of 2" extra width I was told I would get on large R14 variant and the extra 1" of height I was told I would get which will be better off in the woods...

My local dealer said if you get the LX2610 (NON SU) you can also get larger R14 tires as long as you never want mid mount mower. I'm curious if there is a "larger" turf and/or R4 option available beyond the large R14's?

My dealer said that the larger tires are an option on the LX3310 without mower, but also without chains. The latter is why I went with the smaller tire size.

I have the larger SU R14's on my 2610. I like them in the woods and on dry grass, if it is wet, they will do damage, but I think anything would with the ground soupy.
Adding them automatically adds a steering stop kit too. And if you ever plan to run chains, spacers will be needed. Very little clearance from inside tire to rear fender.

And I would suggest the 60" bucket.

Just want to make sure on dry and mostly dry grass I’ll be ok with R14 and that they’re good in the woods too!

I have very little experience with R4's, I am very glad I got the R14's with my 35 hours on them so far. They do cake up a bit, but they never stopped pulling while I was grappling privet trees out of the ground. I was really impressed.

I was wondering the same. Dealer said get smaller HD bucket. 54" I kinda wanted the 60. He said the HD 54 bucket will be tougher for digging if I want. The bigger bucket is as thick. I think I'm going to have him show me the two buckets. side by side.

If you were worried about the bucket strength, consider a tooth bar on the 60".

I suggest getting the 60" bucket. I did with my LX2610 and it works great.

I got R4s even through I wanted R14. Based on what I have learned first hand and read about R14s, I would like to change to full R1's, but I am a weirdo.

There shouldn't be any upcharge in getting the larger bucket. Also, they did offer the larger "SU" tires in R-4's as well.
