Looking at l2501

Curious if the pricing looks good or not. I keep being told by salesman that the 2501 doesn't perform well for the backhoe. Any truth to it? My property has about a 10 degree hill the whole way. I think it would be plenty for most things. It won't get used every day or even every week most likely so I find it hard to justify too much more. I'm waiting on quotes for a 3301 and 3901 or a 3560 as he said he can work with me more on the 3560.

Here is the quote
L2501HST R4 tires, Cruise control, Front & Rear led lights, drawbar, tool box
LA525 loader, bale spike, pallet fork
RCR1860 Rotary cutter, slip clutch
BB1260 box blade with rippers
PD15 post auger with down pressure
BH77 backhoe with subframe and 12" bucket.
With all discounts, and 0%-60 month financing, $32,150

That pricing appears reasonable from what I've seen. I bought mine from Deen Implement in Forney last August, but all I picked up was the L2501DT, loader and RCF2060 heavier duty mower. Out the door, delivered with insurance was just over $18,200.

I would get a quote from another dealer. If the salesman you are working with is only interested in selling you the higher priced bigger model and not the tractor you are interested in, then you may not be getting the best advice. It always pays to talk to 2 or 3 dealers to get prices and advice, unless it is to far to the next dealer.

2015 L3301HST with 525 loader, and 60" brush hog was 20,400 out the door. Personally a 25 seems a bit weak for a back hoe. BUT, I am no expert!! Most people tried to talk me out of the back hoe as you can buy a used one fairly cheap that will really dig. My .02 cents. Your mileage may vary. Not to be in conjunction with other offers. Only one model remains at this price.

Well talked to another dealer. He has a 4060 he can do for 35160 with a trailer, all mentioned above. I'm thinking of having him change to a 4 in 1 and a 3rd function and ssqa post hole digger. No backhoe. But hell of a deal I think.

VV is this the property that you posted pictures of a while back, or did you end up moving some place else? Or am I misremembering entirely?

Congrats on your decision I am sure you will be very happy.

For what it is worth as far as a BH77 and the L2501, in my opinion, owning one myself and living in the Sierra Foothills with billions of rocks, it works extremely well. Using this backhoe and running the tractor at 1500 RPM works great. Even picking up granite boulders is easy. I did opt for the mechanical thumb which is needed for picking things up.
Your larger tractor with the BH 92 and hydraulic thumb would be amazing. If you even think you will need a BH then now is the time to include one. They seem to hold their value and sell quickly when you can find them.
I paid (after factory rebates) 24K for the L2501 HST, BH77 & Thumb, Skid Steer 66" Bucket, R4's, Land Pride 3rd Function Kit all dealer installed.

Enjoy your new awesome tractor!
