Looking at a BX2200

Been watching a BX2200 in our area, they're asking $3,000. No loader, or rear attachments. It does have a 54" mid mower deck on it. I thought the price was a little steep for 1937 hours. I currently have a G2160, I was just looking for something I could put an FEL on and possibly a tiller or box blade. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The tiller ( 42"?) would be fine ... and 48" box blade would be fine with that machine.

IF closer to me - I would consider buying it the way it is - but I am looking really for a good grass cutter and do not need a FEL.

IF you really want a FEL - you should look at a machine that has one already on it - not that you cannot add one, but getting all those parts together and assembling it would not be cost effective unless you run across a huge deal and have plenty of free time.

DO not let those hours fool you - if there are any maintenance records showing oil changes and what not .....then that engine should be fine.

I'll second the, If you want a loader tractor, get a tractor with a loader already attached, there are far to many variables on these machines to make it as easy as it sounds to just bolt a loader on it and go.

Good choice. I added a loader to my BX2350, it was a mistake. At sale time I lost a lot of value - it's really hard to find a second hand FEL that matches, I put a brand new loader on it. But a 10 year old tractor with a new loader is worth the same as a 10 year old tractor with a 10 year old loader.
