Looking at a B8200, it has 1061 hours, and for a 30-year-old tractor the hours work out to about 35 hours a year.
I figure it is used for mowing a lawn. It has a belly mower, the tractor looks well maintained.
It has everything for a frontend loader. They want $2000, is this a fair price?
What more should I look at.
Thanks Don

I have a 1000hr b8200 with loader and backhoe and i think it's wonderful.

I can't imagine a well-running 1000hr b8200 ever being worth LESS than $2000. It honestly already sounds like $4000+ to me based on your description. I would expect a good running 1000hr 8200 with no attachments at all to be worth well over $2k.

But maybe that is just familiarity talking. I had no idea the thing would feel so capable until after i bought it. I bought mine non-running and fixed it. I feel like mine is worth $10k. Most things I see around this size with loader and backhoe (newer BX23-whatevers, smaller L-somethingorothers, JD 1/2 series et al) don't seem to go much under $14k until they are half-destroyed.

"Everything for a front end loader" usually means it has the loader stick and the hydraulic valves. On new Kubotas those come standard, probably the same for the B8200. The problem is that getting a front end loader to fit it is hard - lots of people want them and there are few available. That probably means a third party FEL, which isn't cheap.

In general if you want a FEL on an older tractor, you need to buy a machine with one already on it. If you don't need/want an FEL at the moment, then this machine sounds like great buying. If/when you do want an FEL you just sell this machine and buy a machine with an FEL.

If the tractor starts with a battery and runs without belching a large volume of black smoke and beat all to smithereens it's easily worth 4K and up, and that's without a loader.

If it doesn't have any nasty noises or leaks and everything works, it sounds like a smoking deal.

Had a B8200 built like a tank, great machine. Worth2k easy. But if you want a loader you will probably have problems finding one.
