While hooking up my shredder I noticed my lift arm adjustable arms are different from each other. I would have thought they should be mirror images/identical in order to allow minimum movement if desired. At present, one pin can only be in a slider-slot if the shredder is centered.
I wonder why the same number and location of holes are different in the two arms?
While online I saw a pic of the same model tractor (M4700) that had identical arms. (but the pic is too large to post.) Any input as to why this situation?
Here’s mine left/right…

They look the same to me, just that one is rotated 180 degrees from the other.

Can they be reversed? Can't tell from your photos, but similar ones on my B2910 could be reversed I believe...

I agree with Henry. The same but one is reversed. The slot is usually further toward the rear.

Thanks for the replies…. I gotta wonder where my mind is today…. shoulda been obvious it’s assembled “backaards”. I wonder if the dealer or the PO did that…but no matter…I can fix this. Doh!

Thanks again.

Well…. NO…. the right adjustment telescopes WITHIN the forward/outer sq. tube…and has only ONE hole. It’s not “reversed…in fact cannot be reversed because there is no provision to attach it if it Were reversed. :(

I guess I’ll have to remove it and drill some holes.

I think your left one is correct. I looked up the parts and I only found one part number so they must come as a pair or something. One of those arms must have been replaced at some point. I can‘t find a clear picture of them and the mounting configuration isn’t the same as my tractor.

When I got my Kubota one side was bent. I was able to pound it out straight, but I could see why a guy might have to replace one.
