I am trying to decide between just adding the cab lights on my L3560, or to put a light bar on the front. I'd like to make it easy, so separate LED lights would be easiest I suppose. But the light bar would be great to have.

Light bar would be easier....... one set of power cables - one switch - one mounting of brackets.

I'm trying to make the same decision now - any options on the market that will mesh well with the current wiring harness and amp rating?

Looks like @rroberts hasn't been online in 6 months. I measured from my existing light brackets and it's 31.5" from center hole to hole. I'm having a hard time finding something off the shelf from online stores that will match up nicely.

I added a light bar to my L45 and could not be happier. Used existing holes and wiring.

I've tried various types of lighting over the years. Started before LED's came out. The current setup uses Maxxima floods as replacements for the 4 cab-mounted lights, 2 more in the grille guard and a couple small cubes mounted inside the tubes of the FEL frame.

The 2 forward cab lights are good for general purpose and particularly when plowing snow or using the FEL. When mowing at night, these are rarely on. The create glare from the hood that make annoying reflections in the glass. The angle of the light hitting the grass doesn't give good definition to the cut/uncut line.

For mowing at night, the two floods mounted in the grille guard work very well. The light hits the grass at a sharp angle and the cut/uncut is easy to see (much like the uneveness in vinyl siding when the sun is at the right spot.

The FEL tube-mounted side lights in combination with the others give 360 degrees of light around the tractor. They were the last to be added. Without them it felt like I was operating with blinders on.

The rear cab lights are handy whenever working at night of course.

you could compromise and put in two smaller light bars on the front. The nice part is you can adjust them directionally to suit your needs. If you have one light bar the adjustment is limited to up and down.
