LA463 hydraulic hose change and thread locker

Have an LA463 front loader on which I am replacing the 4 hoses that connect to the control lever valve. My questions are:

1. What, if any, thread locker should be used on the quick connect couplers when transferring them to the new hydraulic hoses?

2. Should thread locker be used on the aluminum compression fitting threads to which the opposite end of the hose fits?

Any additional comments or recommendations regarding the changing of these hoses( tightening fittings, etc., would be appreciated.

You need to use a pipe thread sealer on your hoses and fittings, do not use thread locker, lock tite, etc.

You're looking for a hydraulic thread sealer, something like Loctite 545 or equivalent.

I would look up the tightening torque, and use two tools.
