Hi L6060 Owners:
I have an L6060 on order and I'd like to compile a list of YouTube videos of the L6060. Please reply to this thread if you have any links to share. Here's one:

No videos, but I can get you pictures of any part. Mine is fully loaded, all installed my myself. So I should be able to answer any configuration questions.

Thanks Kubotafreak! I will probably have several more questions, but here's one burning question. I would like FEL implement for such things as digging out rocks, moving big rocks and digging out small stumps/trees. This Titan Skid Steer Stump Bucket Grapple looks awesome, but is it too big for the L6060? It is 588 lb. I'm pretty sure that technically it will attach to my L6060, but is the implement too big to be a practical solution for what I want? Unfortunately, the sales rep at my local Kubota dealership isn't as knowledgeable as I'd like, so I'm hoping to find better information on this forum.

Thanks!
Alex

You can put a lot of load on an FEL doing things like that. You definitely don't want to oversize. A backhoe is really the implement for that kind of digging.

I think you will find most will say you don't want to get one too heavy as it takes away from the lift capacity.

If you get a stump bucket that one you posted would be fine.
If you get a brush grapple you can get by with narrower grapple to shave some lbs. Id suggest a 48-60inch for the l6060. The factory bucket weighs 350-450 so consider that. The factory loader is a la1055 rated at :
  • Lift Capacity (Bucket pivot pin, max height)
  • Standard 2361 lbs (1071 kg)
  • (V) Lift Capacity (500 mm forward, max height
  • Standard 1784 lbs. (809 kg)
  • (W) Lift Capacity (Bucket pivot pin, 1.5 M height)
  • Standard 2974 lbs. (1349 kg)
  • (X) Lift Capacity (500 mm forward, 1500 mm height)
  • Standard 2407 lbs. (1092 kg)
Subtract your grapple/bucket weight... does not leave you much as far as rocks and big sticks go. I would try to stay at 500lbs or less on the grapple. (there are many flavors out there)
You will find most Skid Steer capable implements are made 1/2" thick so it can be more suited to the 4-5K that a skid steer can pick up.

get a 72" landpride. I have one on my MX5400 and my buddy has one on his L6060.
They both do a great job. My L3301 handles a 60" landpride very well.

Thanks Kubotafreak...that's super helpful and I have a few follow-ups. I am looking for an FEL implement to dig out small stumps, dig out impacted rocks, move rocks and other objects around the property. Given how I would use this stump bucket grapple, I think the most relevant spec of the LA1055 you mentioned is "Lift Capacity (500 mm forward, 1500 mm height) 2407 lbs. The Titan Stump Bucket Grapple Extreme weighs in at 588 lb, leaving me 1,819 lb capacity in that position, which seems like enough capacity for the work I'm planning. The lower duty comparable product Titan has is Mini Skid Steer Stump Bucket Grapple, weighing in at 242 lb, which would leave me 2,165 lb capacity in that same position. I'm not so sure the extra 346 lbs difference would really be that meaningful, and I think I would lean toward buying the heavier duty implement. Which of those two do you recommend? Or, is there a different stump bucket grapple I should consider? I will also take your advice about buying a narrow grapple as well, so I'll have that at my disposal if I need to move a 2,200+ lb object.

Also, when you mention "Hydraulic skid steer", is that used for attaching FEL skid steer attachments without leaving the operator station?

Thanks again! I probably will have even more follow-up questions, so I really appreciate the help.

Alex,
The mini is actually a different plate size. These mini skid steer do not have an operator in the seat. You ride on the back like a rear rider mower. Your tractor will take the same skid steer plate as the big boys. So the regular stump bucket will do what you need with little risk to you damaging it. It should break your machine long before the bucket gives.

The hydraulic skid steer quick attach is exactly what you said. Allows you to remove implements without getting off the seat. If you get a cab you will look for every reason to not get out. Perfect for those implements that are not hydraulic, like the pallet fork to bucket swaps. It is expensive, and if you have an open station kind of pointless.

Now the 8 hose, I love and would recommend to anyone. They also make a 4 hose version. The 8 is if you add a third function or hydraulic quick attach.

As far as the extra capacity. You will want every bit of power. When using the loader at 3/4 capacity it is no sweat. Maxing it out you start to give on how high or how much you can maneuver the load. You cant feel the hydraulics strain they just work until the max relief is hit.
Keep in mind a simple guess for fresh tree logs is 100lbs per ft of 14" diameter, and 250 for 24" it adds up quick. A pallet of fresh sod can range from 1200 to 1400. Gravel is 330lbs a cubic foot...
