I will go out on a limb and say that's not OEM. It is, as stated by Dan, a hydraulic accumulator but I'm not sure why there's a needle valve/ flow control on it unless the previous owner was using it as a shutoff. Is it teed into one of the loader lift cylinder hoses? May have been a poor man's Shockless Ride system.

I'll have to follow it and see where it goes. Right now there is no loader on the machine, but you could be onto it with the ride system
