my L4200 was spilling fluid while using the loader. I just had a hydraulic line go so i thought another 1 was leaking but no. I shut it down looked underneath lots of fluid on the engine. when i pulled the oil dipstick
it was like a fountain. i was told the front seal on the hydraulic pump went and it was pumping all the hydraulic
fluid into the engine. Any advice on doing this repair. new pump is like 1400.00 and up.
Thanks
Mr Barnes

I did a similar repair on my L185 and it was pretty easy.

Unbolt the pipes from the pump, unbolt the pump and remove pump from the engine. Then the seal is exposed on the front of the pump . You mmay be able to remove the seal or you probably will have to disassemble the pump to get the shaft out of the way and get the seal out and replace it.

Work on a clean surface like a baking pan or paper.

Or take the pump to the dealer or a hydraulic repair shop if you prefer
