L4060LE hst question

I just got my 4060le delivered yesterday. So as you can all guess I have gotten nothing done today because I have spent all my time playing and admiring my new toy. My question is about the hst. I took her for a spin down the road full blast and when I let off the pedal I damn near went over the hood. There is absolutely no coasting. It did not seem to make a difference if I had it in auto throttle advance or normal. Is this just something you have to get the feel for? It obviously isn’t as noticeable when puttering around at low speeds. But when this happened I was defineitly not expecting it.

Set your HST to -2, not sure it will help a lot if you suddenly let off the pedal but it sure helps when you going F-R doing loader work. Slows the HST response.

I believe your HST is reacting normally. I thought it weird initially that when I'd back off the HST it was like slamming on the brakes. Don't back off all at once, ease the speed down. You'll get used to it. Also, the HST isn't good for holding it on a hill. Use the parking brake but don't forget to release it.

Like Pokey1416 mentioned, adjust the hst response. It is in the cluster menu options. Looks like a bunch of open blocks, and you move the highlighted one left or right. (More or less response)

Thank you everyone. I moved the hst response lower like mentioned and much better. I had it up high when I got on it because I thought peppy was better.
