L3800 coolant change, 4 quarts out six quarts in?

Drained my coolant and flushed out the system until I had clean water coming out. When I went to fill it up, only took 4 quarts not the the 6.4 in the manual. Manual doesn't say anything about a block drain or anything about getting residual fluid out.

So 25% is straight water. Thinking about getting some test strips to see where I'm at. Anyone else run into this?

Hard to say exactly as after the initial drain I started filling and flushing. The first one was still pretty green so I bottled it for disposal. I thought the same thing but after 4-5 flushes and adding new, getting hot and rechecking nothing went down.

You still had roughly 2 quarts of coolant ( water) in your engine. So if you mixed it at a 50/50 ratio, you are probably weak on freeze protection. It would be a good idea to test the coolant to see where you are If you’re in a cold climate.
