I have a fairly substantial leak on the bottom of my Kubota L3700 HST. This tractor is very similar to a L3400. The leak drips when the engine is off, and is a steady stream when the engine is running. The leak is just forward of the three pressure testing ports. If i'm reading the repair manual correctly, the leak is between the MID case and the clutch housing.

My questions are:

1) What are the chances that this is only a blown gasket and not something more serious?
2) What likely caused this issue?
3) Can I split the tractor at this location to fix it, or are there only certain designated locations where the case can be split?
4) Is there an easier fix than splitting the tractor?

There is no gasket in there, but it does use anaerobic sealer that could have failed.
Yes that is exactly where you split it to work on it.
