Hello,

I have come down to these two models open station. I’ll be using it on 20 acres as snow and regular driveway property maintenance.

my local dealer has the new 02 in stock but only canned l3560. It appears they are close in price and was wondering if it is worth it to wait and go with the L3560 or if the new 33/3902’s were worth it as well. I’ve been going back and forth for a while now and cannot decide.

I have older row crop Deere’s and feel I’m being swayed towards the grand Zl because I’m used to the size of the row crops.

thanks!

As I have discovered my one year old L3901 lacks many of the features I expected - they have been reserved to the Grand L. If the price differential is not a factor waiting a short time for a Grand L is a no brainer. Last time I checked the incremental cost for a Grand L was substantial.

I am floored a L3902 is about the same price as a L3560. If so you should take the L3560 and run. It should be significantly more.

Also...are you SURE you dont want a cab in the Minnesota winter?

Thanks! I would love the cab but not sure I can justify the additional 9k for one :) I’m sure the wife will already be mad at another tractor.

With the L3560 you have two options, regular and the LE version. Both available as Open Station or Cab. The "Limited Edition" is about $1500-$2000 less than the regular but lacks a few features depending on Open Station and Cab. The Grand L has several features over the regular L which I love, HST+, greater lift capacity at the 3 pt and the ability to get the 805 FEL which increase front end loader capacity. As "Old and Tired" mentioned, it also has a Mid PTO option for about $750 which would allow the use of a front mounted snow blower, which might be very nice in Minnesota. When I compared and L3901 with the L3560 LE side by side, the extra cost of the Grand L was well worth it to me. I added back the Cruise Control, the stationary PTO switch and the upgraded 3 pt. stabilizer bars for about $300 which gets it almost exactly the same equipment on the regular L3560. BTW, I love my tractor.

Even if the LE version OP should take it and run if its the same price as a L3902.

Are you planning on a snow blower, or just plowing? What other tractors do you have and why do you need a new one then?

It’s not my money, but yes that is correct thing to do…IMO they are not the same class of machine just based off the size and weight difference regardless of features. 🥃

The Grand L is a substantially more feature laden machine, and also has a bit higher capacities. It's madness if it can be had for the same price, so I agree, get it. But....are you sure? What are we missing? Is there another dealer with the 02 cheaper, or is there something about the Grand L that means it has an unusual discount? It really doesn't make sense that they're in the same price category.

I have a L3301 and it's a great machine.
Also have a L3560LE (cab) and it is w/o question more capable.
L3560 for sure. LE is a great value. You can add back everything missing for much less than the price difference.
I added the cab lights, side mirrors, cruise switch, pto seat switch and maybe some others (can't remember).
When I got mine the only difference was the vinyl stickers on the hood vs the chrome raised letters/#'s.
The L3560LE is my favorite tractor. Sips fuel compared to my MX5400 and will do most of the things the MX will.

Thanks all, I ended up buying the L3560LE w/ 805 loader. Didn't even make sense to the dealer but it was only around 1500 more than the 3902, they said maybe because the 02 were brand new. So I just went with it.

Good choice. That's a great combination. I love mine. Only at 30 hours so far in the first year but looking forward to racking up the hours over the next 10 years or more.
