L2900 4wd rims & tires

I recently purchased a 1995 L2900 4wd that currently has turf tires...
They are 15" front and 355/80D 20 rear. I want to replace with either industrial or ag, whichever I can find. Can someone help me figure out rim size and tire size I need? I've looked and I see for ag is says 7.2-16frt and 11-2-24rear but i'm not sure about the rim size., what about industrial tires and rims?

you will need new rims to do what you wish - your fronts now have a 15" rim and rears 20"....

you need as you mentioned, 16" and 24" respectfully - then place the 7.2 and 11.2 on them. Be very careful of placing tires on rims, gotta make sure the rolling circumference is correct - or the stress in the 4wd system will be $$$ to fix.

Call your local Kubota dealer and ask for "Wholegoods" NOT the parts department. Wholegoods are the people that sell the tractors.

Under Wholegoods they sell the wheel with tires mounted ready to be installed on your tractor. The prices this way are often close to the price of just the tire alone. If they are still available this will likely be the most economical solution. I've bought a few sets this way over the years.

If you get the parts department they will sell the tire, wheel, valve stems, installation, etc as individual items and the cost will be significantly more as in 2x more.

Found the AG tire size mentioned above in the 2016 pricelist for a L2501 just to give you an idea of price. Keep in mind I don't know if the rims will work or not for your tractor.

I went to the local Kubota dealer and now I'm trying to figure out what R4 tires I can mount on my current wheels.

He said if my rear tires are 355/80-D20, then my fronts should be 29*12.50-15. Is there anyway to convert these sizes to R4 tires?

These guys aren't a lot of help. I understand with being a 4wd it complicates it some but they should know what will work and what won't.

Did a search on L2900 with industrial tires and found the following. You'll have to confirm the information is correct...

1, stock R4 tire was 420/70-24 in the rear and 10-16.5 in the front.

2. The proper codes for a L-2900 with industrial tires are ALR-8869 for the fronts and ALR-8855 for the rear. The codes for a L-3240 are ALR-8869A and ALR-8855 for the rear. Brand new would be 2,258.00 that would be with rims as well as tires. (The ALR-xxx numbers are the wholegoods order codes)

Did you resolve your switch over for R4 tires. I have an L2900 with Ag tires on it. I am looking for a set of turf tires on rims. Do you still have your set of turf. Would exchange for my Ag tires.
