So went to go look at an L2501 to go along with my B2620. I looked at the specs on the Kubota web site and find it very odd that despite it weighing almost double what a B or LX weighs....it has LESS 3 point hitch lift capacity. Is this a typo?

Would an L2501 handle a Land Pride APS15 or OS15 seeder?

I don't know if it's a typo or if you misread the data. Comparing the lift 24" back from the lift point I see a lift capability of 1058 pounds for the B2620 versus 1389 pounds for the L2501. Be sure you're comparing lift capacity at the same points. I have no idea what your seeder weighs nor if that weight is full or empty.

I was looking at Kubota Canada web site. They have at lift point:

B2601 1808 pounds
LX2610 2139 pounds
L2501 1918 pounds

At 24 inch:

B2601 1411 pounds
LX2610 1676
L2501 1389

Pretty odd since the L3901 and L3301 are both listed at 1433. Bottom line this is so close as to be inconsequential.

Just odd that such a larger, heavier chassis wouldn't have more hydraulic lift power.

I can promise you it has the hydraulic power to lift….it can also make the front end light enough you can’t steer it (unless you know how to use the brakes)

Right on. I just found it very odd when I read that.
