Afternoon, i have somehow managed to break the bell housing and transmission on my L2000dt and am having a heck of a time finding one. There is a gentleman a few hours away from me who has a L225 4wd. Does anyone know if the trans and bell housing will interchange. I know both run the little D1100, have the same clutch disk therefore the same input shaft spline. I know mine has a 4 speed pto and think the l225 is just a high and low which is fine. Sorry if this has been covered tried to search but didn't have any luck.

It's possible if the back part lines up?
Without prints of the L2000DT it's uncertain.

Would be even more uncertain if you could sway the insides out to keep the gears you have.
If it worked you would be better off keeping the whole L225 setup.

If you do get it back together, you need to add the front half of the loader subframe if you want to lessen the chances of doing it again.
That's not a very good model for a loader tractor as they have a very weak center, as you've found out!
