I have a grinding noise when either right or left brakes are applied, and so I drained the trans oil and pulled the final drive off.
I removed the wet disk brake and examined. There is the odd small blue spot, so I think at some point this was driven with a brake stuck on by a previous owner.
It all looks functional and not metal to metal as I thought. No grooves or scarring present on the metal plates.

However, I have no specs on what the thickness of the brake material on the disk should be. I can't tell if this is worn to the point of being out of specified thickness.
Does anyone have a new brake disk to measure?

Thanks RCW,
Everyone has told me it is grey market. The US court decision does not affect us anyway, but now I know better.
I can post about this machine anywhere.
Figure I'll phone Coleman Ewquipment in the morning to get a measurement. My disks are .188 thick with the brake material

Minimum allowable thickness of brake
disc is 4.2 mm (0.165 inch). Minimum
allowable brake plate thickness is 2.1
mm (0.083 inch).

It's in the manual that RCW pointed out.

FWIW, Coleman does not ship to Canada, even though their site says they do.
Also brand new wet brake disk is .188 thick...so my disk is as new.
