I currently have the lucas inside the ole L175 but was wondering if this chevron would be better? Supposedly it is for low temp while the lucas is high temp.

Now the second question is about this grease nipple thats hidden inside this plate of the tractor and once you open it theres a nipple there...

As you can see that small plate there once I removed it awhile back I put a couple pumps in it but not sure what its for.....

Easy answer on the grease fitting that is behind the plate (where you’re clutch plate and throw out bearing are). The throw out bearing is held in a carrier that slides back and forth when you push or release the clutch pedal. The grease fitting allows grease to that sliding area (not the bearing at all). A couple of pumps everay couple of years is sufficient. Don’t go overboard or the grease could get on the clutch plate and cause trouble there.

Grease types can be compatible or not. If both greases are lithium based then they can definitely be used together. If one is lithium and the other is a different type then you need to research if they are compatible or not or just not use them together.
