they'll regen more often as the filter gets dirty
a regen doesn't get 100% of the soot out, like 99.2% or something like that so after a bunch of cycles, there's some left that can't get out. Sorta like every 4 years we have a leap year because one day is actually a few milliseconds off of 24 hours, a year is 365.242189 days give or take it adds up to almost a full day every 4 years, so they tack on an extra day.
at 2400 hours it's probably considered normal to regen more frequently.
Now if you have to remove and bake it out, when you reinstall it you have to go into the ecu and reset a few things for the dpf to work properly. See your dealer for that because nobody else has access to the ecu.
