Kubota Sidekick Steering Wheel

i have a 2021 kubota sidekick. The steering wheel is adjustable. Is it normal to have any up and down play in the wheel after it is locked into position or should it be solid?

should be mostly solid. If there was any play I'd expect it to be less than 1/32" (.03125 inch). Look at the adjuster and see if any of the hardware is loose.

The play is up and down about 1/4 inch after it locks into place.

Where is the adjuster located?

it's buried behind all the plastic, below the steering wheel. The lever you use to tilt the steering wheel pushes on it down below the dash. The tilt lock looks like a little shock absorber.
