yes I have and I think it would work on straight chevron thread. my other bota had no problem with traction, straight chevron thread with screw in studs. these tires, no. I have screwed them out and might use them on my quad.

Curious as to what size of tyres you have on your Bota, and what size of tyres the truck chains were for. Thanks.

Only issue I can see is if your using 4wd and get enough traction not to be slipping anywhere. These make your rear tire larger in diameter and by 1/2?, 1"? and throws off your ratios. Though maybe not off enough to make a big deal...... I don't know:confused:

my bota tires are 8-16. neighbor gave me the chains and they were for a 3/4 ton pickup. I have a 80 yd long X 25 yd wide patch besides the house and
the first passes I use 5th gear and the windrows spill overs I use 6th gear.

I think your chain plate Idea was good, but why not chain sections instead of plates, faster install and less chances of serious damage in the event of chain breakage?

I went a slightly different route when I wanted to get massive traction with the B7100.
Studded snow tires with chains.
