Kubota hydraulic oil in Canada - UDT Premium only

Just an FYI, I've looked everywhere since in USA UDT-2 synthetic oil is highly recommended for 5740 HST or other HST tractors. However, in Canada only UDT-Premium is what dealers sell.

Supposedly it's 100% compatible with the 5740 and other HST tractors. Posting this only to reduce confusion for folks.

UDT-Premium IS the exact same as S-UDT2.......... different "name" - same stuff

Correct and on the back of the Kubota pail it lists the jd, case, etc its substitute with.

That J20D on the bucket is a big tell. Thats their low-viscosity and high water tolerance specification just like SUDT2. Or perhaps the other way around

As an aside, before this last UDT Premium oil change, I was using this Stens Shield Synthetic Oil: 770-736 Hydraulic Oil after doing some research. Didn't have any issues really, perhaps a touch slightly louder pump whine. Can't say for sure tho. Switching old out and new fluid in usually tends to feel like an improvement - most noticeable in high gear going up a paved road with cruise lever all the way forward for max warp overdrive speed lol.

It may be more economical than UDT-2

Nope. Since my MS -nmosd is taking the use of my hands and arms I amost exclusively us a talk-to-text emulator. Making corrections to spelling sucks.
