I have the opportunity to buy a 4530B, which I think was made by Woods and online says it is equivalent to a Woods 650. I own a Ford 2110, 35 Hp. Are the three point attach points standardized so that I can use this backhoe on my Ford? The backhoe has a separate pump, according to the seller.

Also, can a thumb be retrofit on?

The backhoe is 6 hours away. Hoping you guys can help me not waste the trip

Neil from Messicks has a piece on YouTube regarding this subject. There are no standardized mounts. I would get the specific model number and call Woods if indeed it was made by Woods. Odds of it fitting are low.

Boy I'd be 'upset' that 3pt isn't 3pt ! That's the whole idea of 3pt... anything fits.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to hang a backhoe off a three point hitch. Most folks will tell you that it’s better if the backhoe is mounted to a subframe, which is the part that is hard to find unless Woods has one in-stock that they can sell you. I’d pass on the deal if it’s only mounted on the three point, but that’s just my opinion. I have no personal experience with them, just internet horror stories and you know how much those are worth sometimes.

An aftermarket mechanical thumb should be easy to find.

My Woods 650 is attached to a sub frame on the tractor. Your Ford tractor is larger and might be able to support the hoe without any issues. The weak link on my tractor was where the center link attached to the tractor. Lots of force applied here when using the hoe.
Sub frames are always the recommended way to go.
