Is John Deere Trans and Engine Oil equivalent to Kubotas?

Hi again all,

Picked up a '14 L6060 from a John Deere dealer. Has about 600h on it. They gave me the services JD preformed and noticed that they used the following fluids from JD:
Qty: 2 TY22062 JD HY-GARD 2.5GAL
Qty: 1 TY26675 JD PLUS-50 II, 15w-40, 2.5GAL

The filters they used were all the Kubotas:
HH167-32430 - Engine Oil Filter
HHTA0-37710 - Hydraulic Filter
HHTA0-59900 - HST Filter
HH1J1-43172 - Fuel Filter
1G311-43380 - Separator

My concern is the fluids-
Engine Oil, Manual says SAE 15w-40... the TY26675 JD PLUS-50 II, 15w-40, 2.5GAL does not show SAE on the container, I can only assume this is fine though? Req. 9.9 qts, is a hair under 2.5gal so this must have been fully changed.

Trans Oil, First, it's showing 2 - 2.5gal... so 5gal worth. Manual says theres 11.9 gals to change out. So I can only assume that when they changed the Hydraulic Filter and the HST filter that a lot spilled out, so instead of changing the entire 12gals, they just topped it off?
Also, using TY22062 JD HY-GARD, I can't find any info on this to compare with the Super UDT-2. Is TY22062 fine to use/mix with UDT-2? I would'nt think so but you guys are the experts, it's just my first day, lol. Checking the level, the trans fluid is as clear as water so I can barley see it on the dipstick.

Thanks again all for the help!

The HyGard TY22062 is similar to UDT. HYGARD LO-VIS TY22000 would be JDs version of SUDT2. Mixing is not an issue and the regular Hygard would not worry me but its your machine and your money..

The JD 15W40 is a CK4 diesel engine oil as specified by Kubota.

Most likely the JD fluids are superior to the Kubota offerings. Based on the price, everything they make is.😉

Being a HST, I would run it till fall, then change the Hydraulic fluid and filters to SUDT2.
It will perform much better on SUDT2 in cooler / colder weather!

Great, thanks for the clarification everyone. I'll stick with whats in the tranny for 400h then change it all over to UDT2. Have no need to run the tractor during the winter so the cold won't be an issue.

Thanks again all!
