I picked up an Inland sa48 snowblower. It's missing part of the PTO shaft which I found at TSC. It's been half-assed converted to category 0 and it's missing the shear pin. The PO said it broke them regularly. I'm wondering what should be used for it. This the one for the impeller. The augers have them but I can pull one out to see what's in there.

Will this help?

Sounds like you arent going to find a manual anywhere….so not sure how you can get the grade of shear pin/bolt.

Yeah I saw that one along with one on greentractortalk. I realize that it's a long shot but we do have a lot of Canadians here.

It appears as though buhler bought the implement part of the Inland business. So does anyone have a 4 foot buhler with a 19 inch fan that has a shear bolt in the fan and what are you using?

It's a 1/4" hole. Think I'll just run a grade 5 in it long enough so that the shear area is on the shank rather than the threads. I have the 3ph sorted out. The partial PTO shaft on it isn't quite wide enough to get the retaining rings onto the u-joint. Might try a small gear puller to see if I can get it there. Hate to have to take the thing back apart again.
