The functional benefits of tinting are obvious, but the tints I've seen are just so ugly! Maybe a 15% tint would look ok, but the really dark ones just don't look right to me. What did you get for a tint?I'm just the opposite, ALL my stickers were removed the day I got it home. Cab windows were tinted first week.
I went with 70% (allowable light) on the front window and 55% for the rest. The functional benefits of tinting are obvious, but the tints I've seen are just so ugly! Maybe a 15% tint would look ok, but the really dark ones just don't look right to me. What did you get for a tint?
I completely understand. When I lived in Hawaii every vehicle I owned was tinted with the darkest legal option.I went with 70% (allowable light) on the front window and 55% for the rest.
When it's 112 degrees during the day I'm not to concerned about the looks. It made a noticeable difference with the a/c and is still light enough to be able to operate at night (with work lights).
If I did nothing but daylight operations I would have gone much darker.
My biggest complaint about living in Hawaii was all the door dings I kept getting if we made the mistake of going to Honolulu.I completely understand. When I lived in Hawaii every vehicle I owned was tinted with the darkest legal option.
