Got tired of having my quick connects on my grapple not pushing onto the third function connectors because the grapple sits in the sun and raises the pressure in the lines. So I fabricated a pressure release tool to make it simple to let the pressure off the hoses. I looked online at Boltonhooks.com and fashioned this one from materials I had on hand. It’s a simplified version and will only fit the male and female connectors I have on the grapple, but that’s ok, as it’s the only fittings I have problems with. Took a half day in my shop, and another couple hours to prime and paint. Work just as it should. I just wrap a rag around the tool and fitting to catch what little fluid come out. Even center drilled the threaded rod to capture the pin on the connector. No more cussing at getting my grapple connected

Nice job on the fab. I had the same issue, but I just keep a micro quick clamp in my tractor toolbox (fits in the palm of your hand) and use it to gently depress (and hold down) either button on the 3rd function control (key ON, but tractor NOT running) while I plug in the hoses.

Hoses slip right on, since the oil has a path to go to.

I have tried the hooking the hoses together method and has worked mostly but this year one had built up enough pressure that I could not disconnect the hoses until I bled off some oil.
